Had a fabulous night. Everyone I spoke to loved the food and service. The veal was spectacular. Highly recommended.
This is a lovely, cosy pub that serves a good range of well kept real ales and ciders as well as a large restaurant, wit friendly and attentive staff. The pub has a car park and is very convenient as a place to explore Fotheringhay village, its church and castle. There are also several circular walks you can follow from the pub (with the help of an OS Explorer map). The decor is traditional but not fusty or to 'olde worldy' and open fires in winter are very welcome, especially after a bracing walk. One word of warning is that the gents toilets are located in an outbuilding across the car park. However, the ladies are indoors. Please note that the pub closes at 4pm on Sundays (though does serve a good Sunday roast at lunchtimes.

Myself and some colleagues stayed at the Crown Inn ahead of a business meeting in Peterborough. We all left feeling refreshed and really impressed! The bedrooms are beautifully decorated and thoughtfully equipped. I particularly liked the huge comfy bed, massive selection of teas in the room (with a jug of REAL milk and fresh biscuits!), USB charging sockets next to the bed and beautiful clean bathroom. Much like the dinner we had the evening before, the breakfast was generous and delicious with a wide range of options for a small hotel. The staff were all polite, attentive and informative. Brilliant value and highly recommended, we hope to visit again!
We chose to celebrate my father's birthday in this pub because of TripAdvisor reviews. Coming from Spain he wanted to eat a typical English food -roast beef. The staff was very nice and helpful, the food was very good and the village of Elton so beautiful. We really enjoyed the Sunday.

Stayed just for a quick drink while passing by. Sat in the beautiful garden. Lovely views, friendly staff. This is a dog friendly place, at least outside. Food is served here too.
Very good experience here. Not only a good menu but also very willing to adjust to suit our needs (white and also gluten free bread, gluten free Sunday dinner), very friendly and helpful staff, in a lovely town. Not cheap, but value for money.
